How many hermits and snails would you recommend for a 150 gallon?

What kind of a mess are we dealing with? It sucks when the CUC is cleaning up after the CUC.

Alot will vary with the amount of LR and fish stock. in my 150 with with 80lbs LR i have abt 200 crabs, 100 snails most of which are nas., 10 small conch, 5 large brittles, 1 large cuc and 2 sandsifting starfish. at times i need more cause i feed heavy.

It really depends on the load you have on the tank you don't want to put a ton in and have them kill each other for food

A lot of people will tell you 0 crabs. I think I agree, and prefer cleaner and peppermint shrimps myself.

Some will tell you 1 snail per gallon. I think they're crazy.

As far as snails, I'd start by adding about 1 per 10 gallons. Wait a month, and see how they are doing.

There are lots of variables... so there's no one correct answer. And... there's no big rush!

Oh... and if you do go for shrimps... make sure you don't have any fish that will eat them... triggers for example.
