cleaner clams

Do cleaner clams like the ones for sale on saltwaterfish.com help much? Will they even survive for long? Any experience?

No. Just like fish, clams poop and pee. Tridacna clams can reduce nitrate in the water because they house zooxanthellae that use it. These clams don't. They don't do any more for your water quality than a fish does.
