cleaner shrimp for sick fish?????

I'm just curious.... would it be cruel to add cleaner shrimp to my tank?

As discussed in another thread.... I've an undiagnosed parasite in my tank.

I am medicating the tank with Kent RXP.

I've noticed my purple tang going up to all fish in tank... trying to get cleaned by them.

However, I've a puffer in my tank. Would the cleaner shrimp(s) (I'd like to get more than one) have any chance being in my tank with the puffer?

Any advice is welcomed!

The puffer is likely to pick on the shrimp.
