Cleaner shrimp & Gigas

I have a cleaner shrimp that keeps bothering my gigas. Can they do damage? Do I need to get them out of the tank or are they just poking around?

yes they can do damage. i've heard of skunk cleaners harrass healthy clams to death.

Ok they are comming out tonight and going to the lfs for a trade on some fish. Thanks from my clam and I.

they will do that if they are not well fead, i feed my cleaners 2x a week a silverside and they are just fine other times they just pick stuff off the water columm and i have more than 10 clams in my tank

you can spot feed your cleaner to help keep his/her hunger down as mentioned before.
