Cleaner shrimp not living up to name!

I have a Coral Beauty in a 30g quarantine tank that has some white spots on his fin and scratches himself against objects in the tank every once in a while. So I bought a cleaner shrimp, and the CB went right to him, and offered himself to be cleaned. The shrimp though seems to be ignoring the CB's repeated requests. Will the shrimp eventually clean the CB, or should I get another cleaner shrimp?

Give it time, the shrimp will eventually start cleaning when he gets used to the tank. I have a scarlet skunk and he loves jumping on my blennys, tang, and flame angel to clean them.

Last night, after the lights went out, my shrimp started to pay attention to the CB. Not exactly jumping on top of him yet, but at least doing some cleaning.

Since my last post I did a freshwater dip, and I've seen the shrimp pay a lot more attention to the CB. He's down to just one white spot on his fin, and he's no longer scratching.

my 2 scarlet cleaners and fish never even get close to one another.

Cleaner shrimp or cleaner wrasses are not going to eliminate your ich. Further .. freshwater baths are not effective against ich since the trophonts often bury themselves too deep within the fish effectively insulating them from the FW.
