Cleaner Shrimp stealing food from Anemone

My cleaner shrimp has been hanging around my anemone and sometimes will even touch the anemone. Today i fed the anemone a small piece of shrimp and the cleaner shrimp climbed on top of the anemone and tried to take the shrimp out of its mouth ... the anemone already had a good hold on it and the cleaner shrimp was unsuccessful so i gave him his own little piece.

I was wondering how is it that the anemone does not eat the cleaner shrimp because he was walking all over him.

My cleaner shrimp can walk on my RBTA too. Feed the shrimp before you feed the anemone to stop the food stealing.

my cleaner shrimp, Mr. Wolf, does the same thing...I'm surprised he hasn't been eaten yet...but I also keep my nem well-fed to hopefully not have that happen...

same thing happened to me the first time I fed my GBTA a silverside minnow. So I devised Plan B for feeding:

I received a clip with suction cup when I bought a package of dried seaweed/algae sheets. This was I suppose for Tangs and other algae eaters to have the food source stay still for them. I don't have a Tang anymore, so I put some kite string on the clip, and attach the tail end of a silverside minnow, drop it in and let the shrimp and a few hermits eat their fill while I'm prepping one for the anemone. This way the shrimp isn't hungry when the BTA gets his.
