If the clam is dead the shrimp will get to it. If the clam is healthy the shrimp may jump on in a time or two but not to "eat" the clam.

My watchman gobie comes out every morning, pearches on the Maxma and gets his morning cleaning by my cleaner shirmp. Maxma is so used to it, it hardly reacts to it.

cleaners don't but I had a peppermint that picked at the mantle of a clam I had in an old setup.

Cleaners aren't always clam safe. I got a cleaner once and it started picking on my clam and this lasted for several days. Luckily I was able to return the shrimp in time. My clam has fully recovered.
