Cleaning 180 Gal Center Brace

As the title says, I need to clean the glass brace on my 180.. It's filthy. Problem is, my normal cleaning methods aren't working. Are there any tricks out there to clear it up?

I'm tagging along with this. I just replaced the glass center brace on mine because I couldn't get it clean.

Is it crusty on the top or the bottom?

If it's the top, I would try putting some paper towels wetted with vinegar on it and letting them sit there for a few hours. You'll want them wet enough to soften the crust without drippin in to the tank. Then try scraping with a razor blade.

I'll try that, thanks! Yeah, it's crusty on the top. The bottom seems to just be mostly condensation.

It seems like the glass may be stained, though..

vinegar ..works great just bought a 180 and there was crustation everywhere sprayed drown with vinegar let stand 10 mins sprayed again and it all just wiped away.
