Cleaning Acrylic Tank - Coralline Algae

I'm not new to saltwater but am new to acrylic tanks. I have had glass and cleaning acrylic kind of concerns me.

I have an acrylic frag tank and usually use a mag float for acrylic tanks WITH a mesh sleeve over top of it.

I had an old acrylic tank where I just used the mag float and the rough side looked like it really scratched the inside of the tank.

I got the mesh sleeve idea from my LFS, but they clean their tanks every day.

I am in the process of moving, so I havent had time to clean the tank every week and the front panelis getting overgrown with coralline algae.

On my glass tank, the scraper takes care of this no problem, but what do I use on acrylic? The mesh doesnt get it off and I'm concerned with using just the mag float.

What does everyone use to keep those acrylic tanks sparkling clear?

Is the safe Magic Eraser the Original and Extra Durable scrubbers?

I see ones that have Dawn and Febreze in them

Dawn and Febreze and any 'antimicrobial' stuff would be lethal, or at least real nasty. Stick with the pure thing. I use a credit card on mine, and if you have yours broken down at the moment, white vinegar on a cloth and let lie for a few hours will really soften it up.

it is still running as of right now. I am going to tear it down, transport and put it right back up, so maybe I'll do the vinegar during transport and scrape with magic eraser (original) and/or credit card after I get to new place and before I put back up

I use original magic erasers for routine cleaning and Kent marine aquariums pro scraper with plastic attachment for the hard stuff.

This, along with a Magnavore magnet cleaner.
Magic Erasers are incredible!
Just stay away from anything other than the original - and the store brands really don't work as well. They tend to fall apart faster.

I have that Kent marine plastic pro scraper, I just remembered. I'll take that to the coralline and see what happens. I got the store brand magic eraser unfortunately [emoji20]

For the outside of the tank what does everyone use to clean the acrylic? Can we use glass cleaner?

I have this and just can't get it to scrape the thick coralline from the bottom (30" depth) tank near the sand bed and about 2 1/2" up ( all thick coraline) what can work on this tuff coralline to rid my tank of it? Any suggestions I hate the look of the coralline in this area of the tank. I'm almost to the point where I think I may have to use a really abrasive sandpaper and work my way all the way down to a very very fine green to get rid of this stuff. Please chime in and what's else I could do to rid my acrylic of this stuff

These work to scrub at the coralline: https://www.amazon.com/Lifegard-Aqu...579074&sr=8-1&keywords=acrylic+scrub+aquarium

Acrylic is a pain, I have plenty of minor scratches.
