Cleaning and such 30" high?

Thinking of jumping on a 150 Marineland that's 30" high for a nice mixed reef.
My basic question is how hard is it to get down in there for cleaning, arranging, etc?

I have a 26" on a 32" stand + plywood so that would be close to what a 30" would be. It's not fun at all. I need to use a step stool and it still hard for me to get to the bottom of the tank. I'm not tall though :) 5'9" ish...

i'm 6'2 and my tank i 28" high on top of a 34" stand and i hate it
lol
i'm building a plywood tank that is much shorter for that reason! and its gonna be way bigger!

Thanks for thr replies...I think after thinking this used setup over I'm going to go wait for my ideal setup...48x24x24...which is basically just shorter than this awesome used one, but it is 30".
Guess I can't be hanging out in the large reef section now<:)

I was looking for a 24" high, but ended up with my tank with 30". Now that I have the 30" I love it! it's on a 38" stand and have to use a step ladder to work on it, but it is so visually impressive I would not go back to 24".

Ditto to all that!

last tank was a 30" and next one will be a 48" with magnet scrapers and tongs its all easy.

I have a 30" on a 34" stand, and I just consider a stepladder part of anything I have to do to that tank

I love the size though. next tank will be deeper and wider.

Hello,
I have 2- 30" tall tanks on 36" tall stands and they are not a problem. I had a previous tank that was 34.5" tall on a 44" tall stand and it was too high.

HTH,
Kevin

I have a 30" high tank on a 34" stand, though it's a PITA to reach the bottom with tongs I think the look far outweighs the hassle. In fact I'm going with a much deeper tank next, 60-72" :)

i have a 30 inch deep 300 cube and love the depth. cleaning magnets and tongs are your friend. after all isnt tool use one to the perks of being human? when i get a bigger tank it will be at least 36 inches deep, but parts of it may be 42. you need to preplan your rock work and have sockets to put your frags into since you cant reach everything by hand but the look is so nice its worth the effort.
