cleaning artificial corals

I am looking for a way to clean artificial corals with a pressur washer underwater? any ideals i think i need a special tip?

I will be doing this soon and I was told to hook up the water input into the pressure washer to the tank and run it. Salt water pressure washer. Then rinse well with fresh water when done.

Yes but when i submerse the pressure washer tip under water the surrounding water from the tank reduces the pressure under water. I have seen it used before but I think there is a special tip used

are you trying to do it while they are in the tank? can't you take them out of the water and just soak them ?

The one that I need to do is a large synthetic insert in a 500 gallon tank and two inserts in a 2200 gallon tank. The insert in one is is 96x36x20 while the other tank has two large island inserts. They are glued in and would not come out anyways, as they are larger than the opening in the tank.

no living color is the brand of synthetic coral I need to clean

oh - ok that makes perfect sense. The ones that I am working with are from Rock and Water in San Diego in tanks by ATM out of Las Vegas. Very similiar product, has been a pain in the butt so far.

I would love to hear some system specs and see some pics when finished. These tanks are pretty cool. One is an inverted bow. The other is a double bow with different bow angles. acrylic sheets are 15'x6' and the width at the center of the bow on the large tank is about 6'. acrylic thickness is 2.5"

mine is 15' in diameter and 5 1/2 feet tall with 1000gal.sump

Sorry to jump in, are you pretty happy with the living color corals? I ask because I have been thinking about them vs real for my 220.

The ones from Rock and Water ( or ATM, they have an ex R&W guy working for them now) look great. We had a problem with the structure floating for a while but they are good now. I can email a pic of it if you are interested.
