cleaning Barebottom tank

Hey guys... Just went to barebottom setup after moving and yanking out the sand in my system. I have a ton of flow and have most of the detritus settled in two small areas that doesn't get taken up in the overflow. My question is how do most of you BB guys clean up the detritus still there. I have heard of people using a maxijet hooked up to a hose as a siphonvac but I am unsure how to hook up such an aparatus. Any help on making the cleanup a snap would be appreciated.

If anyone has a picture of how they hooked up a maxi to use as a power vac that would be great...

Thanks

I run a long piece of tubing from my main tank to the sump. I put the end going to the sump into a filter sock and start a siphone. Then just vaccuum everything up and it gets trapped in the filter sock. When your done take the filter sock out and clean it.

the powerhead idea, was not working for me because of the powercord.

I use a simple pet store self starting siphon and hose, to a 5 gallon bucket.
