Cleaning BB

I just went BB this weekend and love the look. I have only one question so far. What do you BB guys use to suck up any detritus on the bottom of the tank, I dont have much but I am not sure that my stazndard gravel vac will suck up some of the stuff.

I use a 6' long piece of 1/2" tube and siphon it out into a 5gal bucket that I sit on a chair - that way it comes out slower than if I put the bucket on the floor.

I use a modified python

I took a piece of 3/4" pipe 2'long and use that instead on the wide tube that came with it. I also opened it up a bit to pass snail shells
