Ive had the cleaning crew in about two weeks now, and im starting to get a few large, large, deep drifts of crab pooh building up. Do I need to vacuum up the poop deposits on a regular basis or will it eventually decompose on its own?

THANKS!

Any sand sifters? Not much you can do about the poo.

Would you rather have poo or lots of algae?

Any goby would do, I have had great results with sleepers.

still new, only had the tank over a month and no fish yet, which leads me to more questions...

Planning out the few fish we can fit into our 24G cube we have been reaserching sand sifters and a lot of what we read was aigainst having a sand sifter in such a small tank. Stated they would starve in such a small tank. Is there a goby that will sustain in sucha small tank?

Also, what is the relation between poop and alge stated above?

if you have nass. snails they will clean the poop off the sand. I also agree a sand sifting goby isn't the best choice in a 24 gal.

I believe I have 4 nassius snails (bought from what I believe is the most useless LFS in this capital city) and they all spend their time on the tank walls. Tried to look for them at the good LFS but are hard to come by.

i read today on a post there is a snail very similar to the nassius, I think it was the one with the snails attacking a turbo to death.

Without a sand sifter how many nassius can you get in a 24Gwithout trouble?
