How do you all keep your aggressive tanks clean? I currently have a 75g FOWLR tank and I have the following in it......
Lionfish, niger trigger, luner wrasse, yellow tang and a dogface puffer. I know some of these fish will eat snails, small crabs and etc.... so how do you guys do it? Thanks all PP

Do you use ro/di water?
That will help if you do not,but with your fish list no cleanup crew will work they will just be snacks!!Mainly the puffer and wrasse are the problem ones.

yes i use a ro water. I thought my lion would be also. He really goes for anything I drop in tank. brine, flake krill.... you name it. I may lose my puffer as stated in my other post.I got sucked into my power head and looks bad.Was stuck probably all night.found him this morning. My wrasse is also like my lion... a pig. well thanks fo your response reefer334..... pp

Put my cleaner shrimp in with my peaceful fish and my baby lunare wrasse, went to dinner and apparently he did as well because when I came back the head and front legs we all that was left. He is leaving the snails alone at the moment. They are cheap enough to give them a shot but not the shrimp!

In my trigger tank

In my trigger tank

I have a large hermit crab he only comes out at night I have plenty of rock for him to hide he has been in the tank for almost one year he cleans the tank all night long I would give it a try

Hey Prison Police!

Hey Prison Police!

yesterday was history, tomorrow will be a mystery, today is a gift, thats why its called the present!

I like that, I deal with a lot of guys that need to hear that phrase.

thanks, Danny :)

Lots of smaller, heavily breeding snails in mine. My puffer is very aggressive, but there are enough snails that they manage to keep their population up. Also have a few big old mean hermits that just stare down the puffer whenever he gives them the "are you food?" eye.

a good population of bristle worms...

never any left over food in the morning as they seem to come out only at night because they hid in the day time from the lunar wrasse
