cleaning inverts

how many cleaning inverts can i fit into a 24 gal without stressing anyone out. i only have 3 fish right now, a peppermint shrimp, 2 snails and 2 hermits, plus a slug like thing but he doesnt come out much.

I'd probably add a few more snails, but keep inmind that different snails behave and act differently and will have different foods sources, what exactly are you needing clenaed? Glass covered in algae, hair aglae on the rocks, cynobacteria, diatoms? All depends on what you need accomplished. A variety is always better IMO. Also, don't plan on the hermits really doing much "cleaning". Their opportunistic feeders and will feed on whatever they can get their grubby claws on.

i thihnk you could add two cleaner shrimp...but i wouldnt keep anymore than 3 in a tank your size...i have 3 shrimps in a 20g long and all seem to be doing fine.

right now i need to clean the sandbed, rocks, and walls. basically everything

I've got 4 narcarrius, 3 conch, 2 astrea, 2 narites (sp?), 6 hermits, and a peppermint shrimp in my 29g. Plan to add a cleaner shrimp and not replace crabs as they die. Definitely plan to add 2-4 more, keeping in mind that you need to diversify between sand/substrate and glass.
