Cleaning my Stream 6000 with vinegar?

I run the Sedra pump on my Euroreef skimmer in a water (3): vinegar (1) ratio to clean it every three months, as per the manufacturer's recommendations.

I am just wondering if this would be a good way to clean my Tunze Stream 6000 too?

It would, I would use 1-1 just because it works faster and most tap water is alkaline and neutralizes quite a bit of vinegar.
