Cleaning Overflow

Dear all,

May be this is a silly question....Anybody clean their in-tank overflow? Do you siphon out the sediment built up on the base of the overflow? How do you do that.

Frankly I have an inch of mud in my overflow...

unassemble it and rinse in bath tub, it has nore water pressure than sink. plus, larger drain. REEF-ON!!!

This is not possible...mine is "built in" to the tank....
