Cleaning/Quarantine first fish

In a week I'm going to be starting my first 20g reef tank.

Once I get the tank cycled I'm going to get a fish of course. My question is should I worry about dipping or anything like that to clean the fish before introducing it to my "empty" tank?

If so, what should I do?

If you are not using a quarantine tank, there isn't much you can do.. just acclimate the fish(checkout tidalgardens video on this topic in youtube) .. drop and hope that nothing happens.. i think it should be okay if you only plan to stock few fish and don't mind if you loose them..

If you can get your fish from a facility that already quarantine the fish, it will be very useful.. good luck!

If you don't QT and your fish gets ich then you will have to let the tank sit empty for 72 days. Might as well get used to QT right now if you want to avoid future problems. I know it's hard to be patient but that's a key to being successful in reefkeeping.
