cleaning question?

ok this question is for all of you nanoers that have an acrylic tank. how hard is it to keep acrylic clean? i have aquirred a 5 gal hex (eclipse) and am thinking of using it as a nano. i have a 2.5 aga nano right now and am looking to maybe change over to the hex for more room.

so compaired to the aga, is the acrylic harder to keep clean?

I did the same with a 5 gal eclipse hex.

I'm much happier with glass... I grew a lot of coraline algae on the glass and got a lot of swirlies getting it off.

The Eclipse hex is plastic btw, which is even easier than acrylic to scratch.

On my acrylic 2.5g, I just use a soft-bristle toothbrush. Not much sticks to acrylic, so the brush alone keeps it spotless and doesn't scratch.

thanks, decided to get rid of the hex and some rock in my 2.5 for the room i wanted. going to build a new stand and hood, i'll post some pics after i get it done. thanks.
