How often do you clean your pumps? How do you clean it? What do you use?

I clean mine every 6 months but if you use certain supplements or run high levels of Calcium or KH you may need to do it more often, sometimes every couple months. Use vinegar, warm water and a toothbrush. on all the moving parts and the magnert rotor well.

also about 6 to 7 months, clean off any xenia etc and then run in a bucket of water and vinegar for half an hour then flush in warm water after taking apart, seems to work well

Did I read somewhere about putting your hand over the output something occasionally to clean something out? If not it could have been an halucination I guess.

Yes, the Stream intake screen can be cleaned by covering the output, it will back flush the screen.

Noticed a drop in power/circulation. Been using it for about a year now, so it definitely needs cleaning. Will clean mine this weekend.
