cleaning up a Star Polyp

Can anyone tell me how to frag a star polyp that is attached to a biggggggggg rock? Would it be ok to just chissel away and cut into sections? I want to get it away from my zoa's. it's trying to take over! The rock that it has grown up on is a large rock about 8x5x5

It could possibly be easier to get your zoas away from the star polyps. ??? Perhaps?

Chisel away would probably be your best option, they're tough!!! You have to be sure to remove every last piece of that star polyp off that rock, they can grow from just a tiny pin head size frag. I've watched it happen in my tank and they can take over very quickly once it's well established within your tank.

it may be easier to get the zoa's off.. but i think they have already started growing between the zoa's
