for some reason i dont have luck with my clean up crew. I only have one turbo and one astrea that have been living for over 6 months in my tank, everything else dies right away. Ive also had my peppermint shrip for over a year and last month one died and now the other one. all levels are good.
so im going out to get a new pair of shrimp, any suggestions.. i would like livelery shrimp. since pepermint usually come out at night only.
also i was thinking about a star fish. i have a 20 gal, 2 clown fish.

im also getting some more snails, astrea turbos and nassarins (however you spell that.)

they need to be acclimated over a long period of time--how long are you doing this for? was there ever copper in your tank?

never copper.. i do it for about an hour.. i set in my tank, open the bag and pour a little bit of tank water in the bag every 10-15 min for about an hour.

I would go longer...2-3 hours. and when you're adding water, start slow in the beggining and gradually increase the amount of water as you get closer to doubling the amount of water in the bag. also, are you leaving them in the tank when you're adding the water or are you taking them out? if they're being left in, you want to turn your lights off...you can cook them. compare the temp outside of your car, to the temp inside your car when left in the sun. same thing.

Ya i forgot to turn off the lights... ill remember that next time.. ill go longer and slower for the acc. then. thanks
