Now I wanted something cool still so I picked up this. It's a 30 gal Zeroedge hex

Now as many know these tanks have the return inside the tank and below the surface. They rely on a check valve to stop the main tank from draining empty if the power goes out. To me that is a disaster waiting to happen so I made a return pipe with a raised section that has a hole for a siphon break so if the tank return pump stops for some reason at least the tank will stay full of water. But in doing that I created a eyesore

So for my first diy i wanted to make a foam wall/cover for the pipe
I started by buying some eggcrate from home hardware $10
So I got some zip ties from ct$5 and started cutting and Ziping together a frame work that will fit over the pipe

I chose to go with 2 mak 4 pumps. 1 of them will b for
My main return. The second one will b running a manifold; On it will b hoses for the bio pellets; next would b carbon; and next would b physoban; then finally the last fitting on the manifold would b a small second return line to tank.

The reason I went with a manifold on a external pump is for reliability. When I was in Florida this year on vacation one of the maxi-jets I had running a physoban reactor leaked voltage and triped the gfci and shutdown my system (mainly because my apex power source was in that plug) so in this setup I am trying to have fewer power sources in the water. And hopefully this will cut down on the mess inside the sump; and the Mess of wires that normaly come with all those powerheads running averything. Hopefully it works properly. What do think? Any suggestions?
