Hi all!!
I am adding a closed loop to a 240 acrylic that I'm re-setting up following a move, and I'd very much appreciate some advice on the intake design. (this will be my first foray into closed loops)
I'll be using a Sequence Dart, which has a 2" intake, and returning the water through 4 1" nozzles. Anyone have a recommendation on a design for a DIY protective intake? Can I drill the tank and mount the intake on the tank bottom, or will it need to be "up" on the back panel? I'd prefer the bottom if possible, so that I can put the tank flush against a wall, but I'm concerned about sand getting sucked into the pump.
Obviously I'm completely in the dark on this one, so if anyone has any experience they could share that would be great, and if you have pictures that would be even greater.
Thanks all, Beez
