closed Zoanthids

It has been over a month that I have not seen the zoanthids open. I talked to a LFS and had them test my water and they said it was good. I also have checked the water quality with the kits I have at home. Everything looked good except the Iodine level .02 and I think it shoud be around .06, and I have checked for electricity leakage. I have done many water changes (RO/DI) over the last 3 weeks and replaced lighting. I have one sally lite foot, a couple of hermies, one maroon clown and an old purple chromis (8 years). I don't see any creatures on them. I am at a loss. PLEASE HELP

Temp 80.2F

I am trying Vitamin C now.

Thanks in advance
James

BUMP -

I'm dealing with the same issue in my 20L QT. Everything comes back normal but they're all opening like the ones pictured above...

Sally light foots can be non reef safe and eat zoas but I don't know if that is your problem. What is your lighting and how long have you had the zoas before that started doing this?

+1 I didn't even realize my peppermint was picking on my zoas (only one specific colony out of 4) until I removed it for eating rics... and suddenly the zoas began improving.

the time when you noticed them closing did you do anything different around that period? I also agree they look stretched and what type of lighting do you have? do you run a skimmer? it's important when you add a carbon source.
