I have heard not to keep a frogspawn or anything that could possibly sting another coral too close, but is it ok to put 2 frogspawn a few inches away from each other?

Most of the time, no problem. There are many different types of euphyllia and hybrids. Most play well together, but some do not. Torches seem to be the one that are most aggressive and pack a sting.
Keep an eye on it and as long as there doesn't appear to be any warfare, you're probably fine.

I agree with Eric. Torches always seem the most problematic but remember euphyllia can have some very aggressive sweepers.
