closep loop with Eheim 1260 ?

Anybody have a closed loop running with a Eheim 1260 pump ?

Are the Eheim pumps recommended for closed loops ? Or am I better off with a ReefFlo Dart pump ?

Depends on what volume of water you want to push. A 1260 is no where close to a Dart. But it will work if thats the volume you want.

What size tank, and how many and what diameter outlets on the closed loop?

It's a 120g with 1.5" input and 1" outlets.

What does: "This pump is not self priming." mean ?

I'd go with a Snapper or Dart. They both use a 2" inlet and 1 1/2" outlet. The outlet can get sized down near the exits for better flow velocity.
