Cloudy Tank... help...

Transferred my tank from a 16g to a 35g. I put non-live sand(rinsed well) and a bag of live sand when transferring. Did this about 3 weeks ago... first day it was cloudy... then cleared up nicely. Few days later it turned really cloudy, a white cloudy. Have done water changes, added a skimmer, etc... After water changes it seams to be a little better, then it cloudy's up again. I thought it was new tank syndrome, so I patiently waited. 3 weeks now... and its still cloudy. Its a little better, but still a long ways off from being clear.

Here are my test results from today:
salt - 1.025
temp - 78
ph - 8.1
ammonia - 0
nitrate - 0
kh - 9 dkh
calc - 380
mag - 1320 ppm

Here is a pic... any help/guidance would be appreciated.

Do I just need to keep waiting? Be patient? Thanks!

put on a filter sock and put some carbon in a mesh bag and throw into sump. Keep them for a few days then remove.

It works for me.

I ran a filter sock for a few days... didnt seam to help. I am running carbon in a BRS single reactor, and a bag of purigen in the sump.

I would just leave things alone and let mother nature run its course, by doing WCs you are slowing the process

Bad idea.

test your nitrites too. it could be going through a cycle. if it's a bacteria bloom it will deprive your water of oxygen and potentially kill your livestock. do you have any additional aeration you can add? again.....water changes....

Tested. It's zero as well. Will running it without lights help at all? I thought it was a bacteria cycle to... But 3 weeks. Is that normal?

Added air pump that I had, to my sump.

How much and how often on the water changes?

I don't thinkblighting makes a difference. I had a bacteria bloom recently and lost just 1 fish. I ran carbon and did a 25% water change 2 days in a row. that was enough to fix the issue in my 38g.

Im going with a bacteria bloom. I would go as large of a water change you can do as often as you can in case its something serious.
