Cloudy tank?

Would this be caused by spawning or is there something else that would cloud a tank up? Checked on my nano in the afternoon, fine, came back a couple hours later and whole tank was clouded white, foggy like. All that's in the tank is non-photo lps and live rock, powerhead for flow, nothing looked out of normal, I did a 40% water change and threw some fresh carbon in a hob filter and it's all cleared up now. I had done a smaller water change the day before and switched up foods a couple days ago but never had this happen before and not sure what caused this.

or bacteria bloom both are possible causes.

Ya know, I haven't see ANY bristle worms in my tanks in a long long time which is bizarre as I used to have tons, there are some of those mini brittles in this tank though. Bacteria bloom maybe tanks only been set up a couple months but it was all rock that I've had sitting in other tanks for years. There is a newish balano colony that I fragged last week but the rest of the corals I've had for quite a while.
