cloudy water in cycle

Hi all! I am in day 3 of cycle 22g soon to be reef. I am using ecosystem 40. Have slightly cloudy water today, is this all part of the cycle?
I have added a fresh dead shrimp to help start cycle. My cured live rock will be here in 7 days do you think it will be to soon to add then?
When is the ideal time to start testing water parameters?

Cloudy is ok, probably just bacterial bloom. I would remove the shrimp at this point and wait for the live rock as you are going to have a cycle from die-off on the new rock. (you could get lucky and the rock have no die-off but that would be the exception).

You should be monitoring Ammonia levels now. Anything over .20 or so (IMO) is asking for a water change. Many tanks will see very large water changes in the week or 2 of operation.
