Cloudy white water a bacterial bloom?

Holla! My 87 gallon tank has been set up 2 weeks with 90 pounds of live rock and 120 pounds of live sand, and I've got some pretty milky looking water. Thought this might be my sand being stirred up, but I put some water in a glass and waited to see if any sand settled, and nothing. My tank is newly cycled, ammonia and nitrite are 0, nitrate are almost undetectable, ph is 8.0, and temp is sitting right at 78 degrees, and we did a 50% water change day before yesterday....from what I'm reading I assume it's a bacterial bloom? Is that normal at this stage? Is it best to let it clear up on its own, or is there something I need to do to facilitate it? Thanks y'all!

I wouldn't worry about it..
Could be the sand.. could just be the water change.. (some brands of salt do mix up a bit cloudy and may stay like that for a couple hours/days)

I'd just let it be..

Whats amazing though is how you got the water to stay in the tank with it sideways like that... You must be a magician

just wait it out. are you feeding your tank now. if so you can stop

Haha I obviously haven't gotten the hang of adding pictures in the traditional upright fashion! That's definitely going to be my biggest hurdle with this hobby, just being patient and waiting for the things that can to right themselves. Any idea how long these things normally take to clear up? Nothing in the tank but 30 snails for the algae on the glass and rocks, so nothing to feed at this point.

Usually stuff like that will clear in a couple days..

Definitely a bacterial bloom.

Did you shutdown the water flow overnight? Do you see any bacteria colony growth (like a ring on Petri dish), or do you see any white snot like substance in your tank?
