Clove Coral

I have a very unhappy clove coral and need to figure out why.
I originally had it middle of tank towards the front and it semed very happy.
Its a 29 gal tank with 130w pc.

I bought a hairy mushroom and because of the size I had to move the clove. I put it towards the top and for awhile it was very happy. Flowing so much it was touching the adjacent mushrooms. I moved it 1bout 1" over so it would not touch the mushromms, and ever since it has not been fully opening.
I moved it to the bottom left side and still no luck.

Anybody have any ideas?

As long as it's not going to touch another coral, your just going to have to pick out a good spot and leave it there. Give it a month in one spot and see what happens. All the handling and moving is probably tripping it out right now.

Thanks. Actually it was all over the mushroom, thats why I moved it over 1 inch.

It looks like part of the colony has died off:worried:

you might be getting die off from the physical contact with the 'shroom. Cloves are pretty tough and should bounce back. Leave it in one spot with moderate flow, w/o touching other corals and give time. I do target feed mine if I want them to multiply fast. You could use official meaty foods, or even small amounts of hard boiled egg yolk.
