Clown and Colt??

My Clarkii has decided to host my large Colt coral. I was OK with this, however someone at the LFS said "Too bad, the Colt will probably die as the clown fish worry it to death". ?? Now I'm worried I'll have to move the Clarkii out of the tank. Any Info would help. Thanks!!

How does the colt look? The LFS may be trying to sell you an anemone, but it is possible that this will happen. Just see how it goes. I have seen a clown that lived inside a huge maxima clam. so, stranger things have been known to happen. ;)

Colt vs Clown

The Colt was looking fine for a week or so then I noticed it looking not as opened up as it did. I kept an eye on it and the clown was diving into it constantly. I finally decided to remove the clown. Along with the Colt problem the clown was becoming very agressive to all the other fish and I lost my firefish because of it.
I tried to catch the clown at night and using techniques as mentioned in the forums to no avail. One day I decided to remove some of the LR to another tank, so while I was moving things around I was able to get him. Now the colt is back to it's 12 inch self.

If you get a good sized captive raised BTA the clarkii will prefer that and leave the colt alone.

I was given a pair of Occelaris clown with a BTA and they immediately abandoned the anemone and have been hosting my colt coral ever since. Granted it is very large, and the clowns are not full grown yet, but I haven't seen any ill effects on the colt.
