Clown, Anemone, Coral Beauty

I have read that Coral Beauties are known to occasionally nip at LPS and SPS. I was curious if anyone had any issues with the Coral Beauty nipping at an anemone?

I don't have the time or resources yet to build a reef tank (and i love my coral beauty) so Id like to have an anemone for my female clown to host (possibly introduce a male later) and add some interest to the tank.

I have an o. Cellarius (?). The regular kind of clown. My coral beauty does nip at the rocks and such for algae but I thought that was pretty standard behavior for a cb. Is that why they attack corals because they are just cleaning algae it's not really attacking?

Here I'll help you

Ocellaris Clownfish, (Amphiprion ocellaris ) or A. Ocellaris

They aren't attacking the corals per se but they are nipping at them to see if it's something they want to eat. Most of the time this behavior will stop if they don't like the taste of them. If they like them then it's an all out eat it up. My Cherub Angel loves SPS corals like crack candy, but he leaves my LPS and softies alone. I don't have any zoa's so I don't know if he would eat them or not. The small Angels are constantly feeding and hunting the rocks for food so they are grazers. But yes in some cases they are only eating the algae or critters that are among the corals.

I have a CB with a RBTA, softies, LPS, and one SPS (Monti) with no issues but like others have said, that's just mine.

Does it have to be a RBTA (?) or will any kind of bubble tip anemone be a good home for the clown and a deterrent for the CB?

Thanks for all the info!

No any of them will be ok it's just that the red ones seem to be more readily available lately with decent pricing. By all means get whatever color you desire.
