Clown Babies now Adults looking for homes

Back in 2006 I tried my hand at raising newly hatched orange skunk clownfish (Born 8/06). You might have seen my posts about this back then (-I don't visit RC as frequently as I used to so I apologize if I ignored anyone.) They are now small adults ready for homes. I'd like to give a majority of these fish directly to serious reef/fish keepers before sending the rest of them to fish shops (where they may be exposed to disease etc.). Those interested could e-mail me pics of future homes as compensation. You can see pics of the developing babies in my picture gallery on RC. I removed a few bullies from the baby tank and put them in a breeder vessel in the main tank to give you an idea of size. The parent fish are in the lower right corner.

As an aside I haven't purchased/added any fish to the main tank for several years now and I also haven't added any corals for over a year and a half (with the exception of one gorgonian) partly to see what would happen if I let the current occupants grow out. I might also have some acro & monti frags I am willing to pass on to those willing to donate a bag of salt. Interested persons can PM me. I am located in the Sacramento area but am not a member of MARS currently. I am very much for aquaculture and reef sustaining practices and would like to send these fishes to those who feel the same.

I don't really "need" one but if you are looking for homes there is currently no fish in my frag grow out system.

One or two are more than welcome to have a new home here.

Although I'd rather see them go to a tank where they will be watched and admired more,
my frag system is in the garage so, I only look at it about once a day Vs my other tanks that get seen hourly.

Nice offer. Can't take any clowns right now, but for the acros and montis are you looking for a brand of salt mix, or not choosy?

I would LOVE to add some of these to my tank, but I already have a false perc and I thought people said that it is bad to mix different species of clowns . . .

Yeah most of the time clowns don't mix well with other clowns

Airinhere, has mixed them with some sucess though.
Perhaps he could chime in?

I remember your original post about the baby percs... very cool! As a fellow conservationist and a huge fan on sustainable reefing, I want to thank you for helping the cause with your project. The more activities and knowledge we gain in captive propagation, the better our hobby, and indirectly the world will be. Good show!

(I didn't really expect much interest in the frags in this post.) The salt I am partial to is plain instant ocean (-I add to it to make up ca differences etc). Since you asked first you're welcome to choose. You'd need to pick them up. PM me for more info.

Interesting point

I had false percs and a clark together in my 55g without a problem. I gave them each an anenome at oposite ends of the tank and they seemed to get along fine. Maybe I got lucky.

I have also had mixed clowns in my tanks over the years without a problem (got lucky). I think it just depends on the fish and the tank. Giving them each something to host is key though.
