Clown fish compatability

I have two 20 gallon tanks. I have a maroon in one tank and a spotted designer clown in the other. They are sole occupants of the tanks. Will they tolerate the addition of a matted file fish or will they kill it?

Maroon can get big though. If Ocellaris or percular should be fine.

Clownfish of all varieties can get nasty.

What is the size difference between the clowns and the file fish? If the file is bigger, the clown might leave it alone.

If the clown is bigger, I would be very concerned that the clown will harrass the file to death.

In my experience filefish are generally tough fish that are generally ignored by other fish including clowns. I have added three such filefish to tanks this year with two of the tanks having pairs of clown fish with no issues.

I haven't gotten the file fish yet. I'll keep size in mind. I might get two to be safe.
