Clown Fish Help

I have two true percs. Both have hosted in my GBTA since the day I bought it (about a month now). All were doing great for the first month and then something funny started to happen. My male clownfish (I am assuming this because he is smaller, but it is probably to soon to tell) started to swim further and further away from the anenome and the female clown. Now he swims all by himself in the same spot in my tank (down front by a little rock). The female goes over to him and is social all the time, but he tends to spend all his time there, until feeding, when he does eat.
He is been acting funny for the past week and I am starting to be worried about him. The other fish in the tank (2 green chromis and 3 yellow tail damsels) leave him alone and he does not seem to have any disease like symptoms or marks....
I am really confused about what might be causing this behavior, anyone out there with an idea or similar problem?

Water:
pH 8.3 (when the lights have been on for several hours)
NH3/4 0
Nitrates 5
SG 1.024
Temp 80 F

Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe the female caught him fooling around with one of the other damselfish and kicked him to the curb?

On a serious note I really have no idea, but hope you can find at least a little solice in the humor.

Thanks for the humor Ovuel.

I know this sounds like nothing but I am afraid that my little buddy is slowly dying I would greatly like to prevent that. Anyone?

How new is your tank? IMO, clowns are pretty hardy so if he died there must be something wrong.. what are your paremeters?

Water parameters are listd in the starting thread. The damsels didn't really bother my clownfish. They got along pretty well. Plus my GBTA is doing really well and so is the other clownfish so I am pretty sure that my water is ok. I am pretty sure that it was some sort of genetic issue. Definately bummed to see him go but it was not entirely discouraging.

Sorry mopey83 to hear of your fishs passing. Im curious to know if an explanation can be found. I had 1 perc untill today.

my parameters are in the normal ranges like yours . Last night when I topped of the evaporated water, the little fella was fine, but this morning he was against the intake of a powerhead to weak to swim away. The currents were to strong to swim in and he passed away this evening.

I can find no evidence of sickness, fungal probs or anything. Its both strange and sad.:(

Hope somebody may have some ideas.

I am sorry hear about your perc Chris Wright. I really think that mine was just about inferior genetics due to overbreeding or too young of percs being taken from the reef.
BUT GOOD NEWS! I bought a new perc at my LFS. Not only has this new perc paired with my other perc but he/she started hosting in my GBTA last night! I am really excited. Maybe I can post pictures later this week...
