Clown fish killed my wrasse!

I don't understand why this happened. The night before I saw the blue wrasse grab the female clown by the tail and drag it down. Then then went on their way normally. The next eve I walked out of the room and my wife yelled the clown killed the wrasse. She said the clown fish bit the wrasse and it started swimming in circles rapidly, then died. The clown then grabbed the wrasse by the mouth and drug it around.
All I can guess is I have a male clown who was friendly with the wrasse and the male was trying his luck with the female and she was getting agressive towards the male, chasing him so the wrasse got upset?

Clownfish can be very aggressive. My snowflake is a total b in the tank.

Wow completely opposite of what happened to me, my mystery wrasse ate my baby misbar perc... Now the mystery wrasse is gonna get the boot!!! Fish will be fish at times...
