it used to have a mate who died of fungus on her mouth fin rot and some internal parasites because she also had white stringy poop. I treated her with a anti fungal anti ich med and she died in the treatment process. How should i go about treating this clown it is a black and white false percula aqua cultured. Before the other clown had died he was arivly eating like a little monster and now he lets the food just go right past him. He is in the tank with another aqua cultured fish a fridmani psuedocromis, currently exhibiting no signs of sickness.

should i quarentine the clown with stringy white poop who isnt eating. how should i treat him.

i think they have an internal parasite but im not sure how you treat that when they dont eat. because most of the medication for it invololves the consumption of food

I suspect i have a false percula with an internal parasite too...i am heading to the LFS tomorrow and hope they have some pipzine and live brine shrimp. The fish is swimming fine and other than the stringy white stool seems fine..but only eats every other day...other times the food just goes right by, or it spits it out after taking it in.
An article that i read on here said pretty much all clownfish have internal parasites and have to be treated...ugh...but most treatments, as you said tell you what to do if they are eating...not if they are NOT eating...so this is why i am hoping live food will entice her...if in fact it's parasites....sigh.....
Any updates on your fish??
