Clown fish sensitive ?

Are clown fishes more sensitive to water parameters? My second clown died and all other fish are doing fine after a crash with a peak of nitrates.

I would say not particularly. Every fish is different, if it wasn't as strong or healthy as the rest may be the reason it died.
