i have a clown fish with some new black spots on one side does anybody know what it could be.they look like bruises.

Is the clown a juvenile? My juvenile clowns had black spots occasionally, IMO it's similar to acne on a teenage. However, it could be black ick. Pictures would definitely help.

If your clown goes in a annenome it can be spots from where it has been stung trying to adapt to the annenome, pictures help.

Looks pigment, or coral sting. Nothing to worry about.
