I am hoping the someone here can offer insight into what may be affecting my clownfish.
My tank is just over a year old. I have had my clown fish for almost a year. The parameters on the tank are stable.
PH-8.2, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate all at zero for last 7-10 months. Cal ium-420 to 440ppm, magnesium around 1300, dkh 9-10, phosphates hovering around .03-.05. I am running purigen, carbon, and rowaphos in a reactor. 20 gal set up with a protein skimmer and a canister filter with the floss pad, carbon, etc. In it in lieu of the bio balls etc.
I have several corals. Duncan, xenia, sympodium, green star polyps. Salinity is stable at 1.025.
Here is a pic of the affected fish. There are only the two fish- the male and female. Over the weekend, my female swelled up and looks as though she needs to pop. Attached is a pic. Do saltwater fish get this sort of popeye disease, like freshwater or is this something else?
