Clown Fish

I got 2 clowns earlier today and they have been having little fights here and there now the 1 who is 'loosing' keeps vibrating is now hiding behind my power head and won't move is this normal?

Sounds like what mine did to establish dominance and decide who's going to be the female. The closer they are in size the longer this will take. When their done you'll likely have a pair.

I always have tried to buy clown fish that are of dissimilar size so things are settled without much conflict.

...or the dominant female may just kill the smaller one. There is not a guarantee that any one fish will accept another. A good size differential helps a lot,but even that fails on occasion.

Sounds like pretty typical bonding behavior, as long as there is not excessive fin tearing and both are eating I'd let them be
