I brought home two yellow clown gobies today and they have some sort of tiny flecks, tiny but thin and long hanging off their skin and some have a red color to them, like blood. They arent the normal ich looking parasites. It looks like piecies of their skin hanging off of them. Is this some type of parasite I am not familiar with? If so what does it sound like and what is a treatment, or is it not a fatal parasite? Sorry no pics available.

Speaking from personal similar situations I would put them in a QT and treat with copper for sure. That will take care of the potential parasite or viral situation. If they get some cotton-like hairy things then I would also treat with antibiotics. Of course only do the latter if they are in a QT without live rock.
