clown goby?

Hey gang, was looking around for another fish to add to my Solana. I've always like the clown gobies and did some reading last nite.

I don't have any sps at the moment (they don't seem to do well in my tank), so I'm not sure if that's an issue or not. Also, I read that you have to be careful about other stinging corals that the goby might perch on. I have some LPS's like a torch, hammer, frogspawn and a donut coral with some pretty nasty looking tenticles. Will these be a problem for the goby?

I've kept them with euphyllias and not had a problem. I've also seen them on trachy's and the like and they were fine.

I also think they are only a real problem with sps when spawning.

Great, thanks for that info.

So the goby wouldn't be too stressed out not having any sps to perch in? I think there's enough rock and other corals that they'd be fine, but I just don't want to totally take them out of their element and have them not be happy and healthy.

Everyone i know that has them over here, doesn't have sps in their tank. Ime they are just as happy perching on a mushroom or piece of algae.
That's assuming we are talking about Gobiodon Okinawe. I think the only one of these little gobies that really needs sps are the Panda gobies but they are impossible to get over here so i don't know anyone who has tried.
