Clown Goby

Can anyone tell me whether clown gobies will breed on any other substrate other than live sps...such as clay pots or dead sps branches positioned inside their breeding tank?

Wittenrich suggests using small (no larger than 4") clay flower pots.

They will spawn on dead acropora.But also inside 2"pipes.
