Clown has fat lip?

i noticed that my clarkii clown has a puffy lips today and a bit of white on lips. is this fungal and what should i treat it with?

so what other symptoms does he have?

Are his lips actually puffy or does it look like something is on his lips?

Probably not fungal, fungal infections are not all the common.

Are you sure its not something growing on/around the lips?

You can start by checking out Lymphocystis virus and see if it looks like that.

it looks like something is on his lips, laboured breathing, darkened skin. what can i get to help him if anything? i wish i had a camera.

sorry some info not right. i just moved him to qt and skin is faded, lethargic, and looks like white stuff in his mouth. could this be cotton mouth? any treatments?

are you talking about Lymphocystis virus? (do a google search for some pics)

If that is what you are refering to then its a virus so there is not antibotic that will cure it.

Good water quality, like start with a water change, and a good diet will help.

Anything new in the tank?

i have been doing regular water changes. 15% weekly. the only things i can think of is the salinity has been maybe 1 above .024 or 1 below. bought some store bought seaweed. it says no additives or preservatives to feed my blenny. clown looks like he has lockjaw. i tried to pick a bit off of his bottom lip and it's a bit red also. i have added something called Maroxy for fungal just in case the lfs didn't have maracyn. other than not eating, he is swimming around. will this clear up eventually, or will he just die a slow death. also, it is contagiou? i guess being a virus, it is right?
