My first impression is no. Bicintus tend to look a little more(for lack of a better word) "elegant" than that. In addition, after looking through a couple books, it doesn't appear that bicinctus have any sort of tail stripe at anytime during their development.
My assessment would be someone at the store knows a little about clowns, but not a lot about clowns. They bought some clarkis and noticed some of them didn't have 3 stripes and figured they must be bicinctus. I would ask to see the invoice before I bought them.
That doesn't mean I'm right, but that would be my gut feeling from those pics. If you find out they were tank raised, then all bets are off, because TR clowns don't always have the body conformation of their wild counterparts.
