Clown interested in conch

Whats the story with my snowflake clown? I have had him for several years, and he has been in the tank with this fighting conch for years. All of the sudden he has taken a big interest in the conch. I see him staring at it and even nipping at it regularly.

Does it happen near where the clownfish roosts? It's likely territorial/nesting behavior, nothing that unusual.

Yeah, that's probably it. That corner is where the clowns hang out.

They're so much fun to watch, but they can be terriers. My maroons would routinely nip the ends off their host anemone's tentacles and spit them out, apparently just because they could.
